We warmly invite everyone in Narvik and the surrounding areas to join us for a festive pre-Christmas season filled with laughter, creativity, and the delicious aroma of freshly baked gingerbread. Together, we’ll craft the foundations of our very own gingerbread wonderland – where everything is possible, from sleek modern houses to charmingly crooked structures and imaginative figures.

What’s a town without its unique buildings and characters?
Bring your class, colleagues, family, kindergarten group, friends, neighbors – even the dog – and join the fun! Dust off your best holiday spirit and unleash your creativity, because anything goes: houses, cabins, churches, boats, trees, stars, gingerbread people – you decide!

Gingerbread Town opens on December 1st at Galleri Ofoten, and we can’t wait to see the town come alive. To ensure everything is ready for the big day, we ask for your contributions to be delivered between November 25–30.

Exhibition hours:

Open to the public every Saturday and Sunday during Advent from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Kindergartens and schools are welcome on Wednesdays during Advent from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (until December 18th).
