Gods Of Rap: Wu Tang Clan / Public Enemy / De La Soul

23 May, Oslo Spektrum: A grand celebration of immortal hits and classic albums

Wu-Tang Clan: This hip-hop collective has been the springboard for great artists like RZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, GZA, Ghostface Killa, Method Man and Raekwon. The band will be celebrating their debut album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), which exceeded expectations upon its 1993 release.

Public Enemy: These rap-legends are known for their potent political and social commentary, as well as hard-hitting and uncompromising music. Their second album It Takes a Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back has been called one of the most influential albums of all time.

De La Soul: Iconic De La Soul released their celebrated debut album 3 Feet High And Rising in 1989. The band was a breath of fresh air, with weird sampling and an overall message of positivity, and provided an alternative to the then up-and-coming sub-genre gangster rap.
