Guided tour at Salhus Tricotagefabrik

Join us in exploring the industrial heritage site that produced underwear, socks, and sweaters from 1859 to 1989.

The tour follows the production line from carding, spinning, and winding to knitted fabrics and finished garments. Feel the carded wool between your fingers, listen to the machine noise, take in the scents of the old premises, and see the machines in operation.

A tour of Salhus Tricotagefabrik provides insight into the working and social conditions, production, and machinery of the textile industry.

The tour includes a film about the factory's history.

The tour and film take approximately 75 minutes.

The museum is open Wednesday to Saturdays 11-16, Sundays 12-17
Tours start at 11 and 14 on weekdays and Saturdays and at 12 and 15 on Sundays.
