Hans Zimmer is the man behind the legendary music for Rain Man, The Lion King, Gladiator, Sherlock Holmes, Dune, Kung Fu Panda, Blade Runner 2049, Interstellar, Inception, Dunkirk, Batman Begins, The Da Vinci Code, Top Gun – Maverick in addition to several of the films in the Pirates of the Caribbean series and series such as The Crown, Our Planet II and Blue Planet II.

Zimmer often combines traditional orchestral music with the use of more modern music technology such as synthesizers, sampling and drum machines in a musical expression called "power anthem", a style in which he was a pioneer.

He broke through with Rain Man and consolidated his position with Driving Miss Daisy and The Lion King, and has since written for over a hundred films and series, in addition to game music, which has earned him 11 Oscar nominations, two Golden Globe awards and four Grammy awards. He is now the head of the film sound department at DreamWorks Pictures and is still in full force with upcoming films such as Dune: Messiah and F1: The Movie.
