Interpuls - a festival for minimalist music in Oslo.

With a lifelong fascination with the music of Philip Glass and Steve Reich, the musicians of the string quartet Quartetto Testosterone and the percussion duo PERCelleh initiated a new festival. Interpuls was held in February 2020 and 2022, and the festival offers modern, accessible classical music and culture in a social and informal setting. In September 2022, Interpuls staged the chamber opera In the Penal Colony by Philip Glass, based on "In the Penal Colony" by Franz Kafka. At the intersection between classical, contemporary music and pop we find Interpuls - Norway's only festival for minimalist music.

Together with several artistic expressions such as dance, poetry, light and sound art, comprehensive cultural experiences are offered that saturate all the senses. With popcorn serving, open bar, candlelight, short concert sets, a social atmosphere and an intimate concert format, the public is warmly welcomed to Kulturkirken Jakob og Interpuls 2023.
