Welcome to the ImproLAB with Siv Trine Haldaas on Saturday 24. October 2020 from 1-3pm. ImproLAB is an improvisation laboratory for artists from all disciplines and the community of movement and sound enthusiasts in Trondheim.
This two-hour workshop focuses on vocal sounds and movement improvisation. Here we explore the wordless and spontaneous communication in the meeting with each other, the space, and the situation. In an active dialogue between music and dance, we challenge the independence of one discipline and explore the correlation between the two art forms within our bodies more closely. The interplay between sound and movement improvisation serves as inspiration for new expressions, artistic development, and personal release.
The ImproLAB is lead in English by dance artist Anna Thu Schmidt in collaboration with vocalist Siv Trine Haldaas. The ImproLAB includes a workshop part with set exercises and an open Jam as a playground for movement and sound exploration.
It is a FREE event supported by DansiT, Trondheim kommune and Trøndelag fylkeskommune.
