João Bosco & Hamilton de Holanda

Harmonies and rhythms from all corners of Brazil have made João Bosco a much-loved musician in his home country. Virtuoso, brilliant and unique are some of the adjectives used to describe Hamilton de Holanda!

Bossanova king João Bosco - the much-loved Brazilian musician - has been to Cosmopolite several times, but for the very first time he is joining Mandolin virtuoso Hamilton de Holanda.

This is a meeting between two of the biggest names in modern Brazilian music: musician, singer and composer João Bosco and improviser, instrumentalist and composer, Hamilton de Holanda. The musicians are both honored around the world for their virtuosity and ingenuity, in addition to having a long-lasting relationship with each other - something that is clearly evident in their music, where the unique character of the instruments, as well as the style of music, play freely.

Bosco and de Holanda often celebrate the Samba during their concerts, where they present some of their favorite themes through new and personal events. João - with his expressive vocals and Moorish-influenced guitar full of swing - and Hamilton - with his innate ability to build improvisations - make each show a unique experience. They have both built two perfect and individual careers, which for a short while each night, seamlessly converge in shared sound, the samba chords, as well as a common place: the stage.
