Jolly Jumper & Big Moe are considered by many to be the ones who started the acoustic blues duo farsotten in Norway in the 1990s. Their very good mood combined with the high quality of their musical expression has made them very popular and in demand at festivals and club concerts both at home and abroad.
Kjell Inge Fischer Brovoll alias Jolly Jumper is one of the country's top blues singers and treats the harmonica in his own way. Jan Erik "Big" Moe, who retired a few years ago, has stated that NOW is the time to play the blues full-time. Moe's eminent guitar playing has delighted audiences since he started his first blues band in 1965 and in 2018 Jan Erik was honored with the Blues in Hell Award - very deserved after over 50 years on the road. Jumper & Big met each other during the Hell Blues Festival in 1992 and have stayed close together since then.
4 albums in stereo have been released and there are rumors of a "live" album later this year. You know you're getting quality when the guys enter the stage and many of their loyal fans say that it won't be a good year until they've attended one of their concerts.
This is swinging blues music at a high level and in 2024 they will, as usual, bring their regular band "The Jimbo Jambo Band" which consists of Daniel Trustrup Røssing on piano, vocals and Arne "King Kong" Skognes on drums. It doesn't get any better. We guarantee another festive moment if you engage these magical musicians.
