With a unique and quirky look at both her own life and the world around her, Kaja Gunnufsen has been one of the most distinctive artists in the Norwegian pop scene over the past decade. Right from the starting pit, it was clear that Gunnufsen has a unique voice that has been relatable for an entire generation, and that far beyond Grünerløkka's district boundaries - which led to a number of awards and nominations, including Spellemann
and P3 Gold. She filled concert venues all over the country, and could be found at the biggest festivals.

The debut album from 2014, "Faen Kaja", still stands as a tower. Where it started with all the challenges and expectations of being young and single, the theme has now changed quite drastically. Life has happened. The contrast between being young and single, and being a married mother of two has led to several extra layers in Gunnufsen's text universe. The pop flair she has always had is at least as exceptional as before, and this time, together with her regular collaborator Kenneth Ishak, she has moved into a somewhat different soundscape, the most playful soundscape we have heard so far.

It has been a few years since Gunnufsen's second album, "Ikke tenk på det", was released - over six years in fact. Afterwards, she gave us the popperle "Unique", before it became completely quiet. The time that has passed since the last time is reflected in the universe she now invites us back into on her third album. You really only need to listen through from start to finish, then you will get answers to everything you wonder about - and more. It already happens on the album's first sample, "Jazzing with Kaja". Kaja Gunnufsens has a unique ability to capture her surroundings in a way that is equal parts banal and naive as well as intelligent and sophisticated. Her observations and flair for melody have been sorely missed, and with this new album we have finally had a gold-edged addition to an already solid catalogue.
