Kampenjazz has established itself as one of the most significant jazz scenes in Oslo. The concerts take place every Sunday evening, in the beautiful former Methodist church at Grønland. The series features jazz of high international quality, and is known in particular for its showcasing of great young talents.
Signe Emmeluth has in a short time established herself as one of the leading young improve and jazz musicians in Norway. She recently release the album Polyp, to rave reviews across the board. She visits Kampenjazz with a brand new work for a new sextet. The work focuses on how composition and improvisation can complement each other and melt together, while also providing room for the musicians' individual voices.
