Karen Klim (b. 1951 Copenhagen) has lived and worked in Oslo since 1978. She is educated at the Royal Danish Academy, School of Design (1970–75) and at Orrefors Glass School, Sweden (1976).
Karen Klim has been at the forefront of Norwegian glass for the last 40 years. Through her poetic interpretations of Nordic nature, she has developed an aesthetic expression of her own. In Klim's glass objects and free vase forms there are contrasts based on the meeting between the organic and the strictly shaped.

Karen Klim is represented with several works at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo, at the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim, at the KODE Art Museum in Bergen, the Northern Norwegian Art Museum in Tromsø and the Sørlandets Art Museum in Kristiansand.

Klim has had extensive exhibition activities both in Norway and abroad. She has participated in a number of fairs and international events such as Collect in Saatchi Gallery London and SOFA, Objects and Functional Art in Chicago, USA. She has been purchased by many private collectors, but also by the Design Museum in Copenhagen and the Glass Museum in Ebeltoft, Denmark, and not least the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, England.
