Kim Rysstad performs Draumkvedet

Folk singer Kim Rysstad performs Draumkvedet (The Dream Poem) solo in Emanuel Vigeland's epic mausoleum. The interplay between his beautiful voice and the long echo created by the mausoleum will give you an experience you won't soon forget.

Draumkvedet er a Norwegian visionary poem, probably dating from the end of the middle ages. It is about Olav Åsteson who falls into a deep sleep on Christmas eve, and awakens thirteen days later. He then rides out to church, where he sits down in the entrance and tells "the many dreams". It is a story of good against evil.

The concert lasts around 40 minutes. It is highly recommended to bring warm clothing and blankets, as the mausoleum can be quite cold in January.

There are only 30 tickets available per concert. All regulations are put in place to keep the event a safe environment in regards to covid-19.
