TBK's New Year's party with Kyla Brox at Krambua on Friday 17 January 2025:

On Friday evening, TBK holds its New Year's party at Krambua. Then we get a visit from none other than the winner of the renowned music competition The European Blues Challenge in the Azores in 2019: Mrs. KYLA BROX! Kyla is characterized as 'Manchester's Aretha Franklin', and has an absolutely fantastic voice - sensitive, raw, tender, powerful and intense. In addition to the European Blues Challenge 2019, she also won the UK Blues Challenge 2018, and was named best female vocalist in the European Blues Awards 2019. She also reached the semi-finals of the International Blues Challenge in both 2019 and 2020, and her 2019 album Pain and Glory was nominated for best album in both the UK Blues Awards and the European Blues Awards in the year of publication. Together with her superb trio of experienced musicians, she also has extensive experience from many blues festivals around the world, and she has released a total of eight great albums over the past twenty years - the last of which is a live album that came out in 2023. This will be a great evening for lovers of soulful and emotional modern blues, in the borderland between soul, traditional blues, R&B and blues rock. You just can't miss this wonderful band and this unique vocalist!

Before the concert, it will be possible to sign up for a blues buffet, and mingle with other blues fans and TBK members over good food and drink. A blues buffet is served from 18.00 and the concert starts at 20.00. Tickets are available as usual at Hoopla.
