On the first Sunday of Advent, the Christmas tree will be lit at University Square for the hundredth time and more!

This is a warm and cherished Christmas tradition that has brought together Oslo’s residents, the city’s mayor, and the Salvation Army for a festive gathering since 1919.

As tradition has it, there will be carol singing and dancing around the Christmas tree.
