When one's father is John Hiatt, one of America's leading songwriters since the 70s, so it has a lot to live up to when you choose a career in music. Lilly is born early 1984 under an additional turbulent period in the family life. Just months after she was born, so check your papa John himself into rehab for his long-standing alcoholabuse, and shortly thereafter, took her mom her life. Hiatts moved to Nashville when John tried to pussle together his life again, and Lilly grew up when his father's career took speed seriously, at the same time as personal life began to stabilize.
Lilly gick high school in Nashville, och studerade senare vid University of Denver in Colorado. During the time in Colorado bestämde hon sig myself för att be a musician full-time.
