The Lobster Festival in Lister was held for the first time in 2012 and was well received both by the public and local fishermen. The festival wants to focus on the natural values along the coast and is based on a species that is already highly valued but who has struggled with poor populations in many years.
Lobsters are the focus, but there are also other seafoods.

The festival aims to teach people about the lobster and managing the numbers. It is hoped that the event can contribute both to increased focus on both the management of lobster and other natural values of the coast. It is therefore important that a larger portion of the population can benefit from the lobster fishery, including those who do not participate directly in the fishery.
