​How are love, sex and marital difficulties expressed in Ibsen's dramas?

To what degree can we, in our time, recognise ourselves in the psychological anguish, torments, dilemmas and problems that Ibsen highlights in some of his most famous plays? Can we understand our love lives in light of Ibsen's characters, in for example A Doll's House, Hedda Gabler, Little Eyolf and John Gabriel Borkman?
