Marc Ribot's Ceramic Dog

Marc Ribot made his name as Tom Waits’ guitarist on the Rain Dogs album, and has since been the go-to-guy for when people like Elvis Costello, Waits or David Sanborn need a guitarist like none other. Ribot’s band Ceramic Dog has been called a “post everything band”, but it might be mire avant than post. No wonder, since Ribot recruited veteran of the New York alternative scene Shahzad Ismaily on bass, as well as drum legend Ches Smith from bands like Secret Chiefs 3.
