Mjøssamlingene at Minnesund is Lake Mjøsas maritime museum. It is an old road junction at the Minnesund Bridge. The museum shows the old shipping environment with warehouse from 1801 and the shipmaster residence from 1847. Here you will find exhibitions on flood history, log floating and boating as well as historical vessels both in operation and in exhibition.
Mjøssamlingene is open with guided tours during the summer season. We sell kiosk merchandise during summertime and we have our own pier, and the area is well suited for exploration and recreation. See the museums web pages for opening hours and events. Groups are welcome by appointment also outside opening hours. The outdoor area is accessible all year round and is displayed with information boards. Minne farm café is located right next to Mjøssamlingene.
Mjøssamlingene is owned by the Foreningen Mjøssamlingene and is operated by Mjøsmuseet, a cultural history museum in Gjøvik, Toten and Minnesund. Read more about Mjøsmuseet on www.mjosmuseet.no.
