12 and 13 September: Experience Dramaten's extraordinary, critically acclaimed Peer Gynt

Dramaten's extraordinary, critically acclaimed Peer Gynt visits Oslo and Ibsenfestivalen.

Meet the restless ne'er-do-well Peer, who travelled around the world in search of himself, in the renown director Michael Thalheimer's staging.

The Norwegian national epic Peer Gynt is unique in its tumultuous mix of satire, surrealism and fairytale. In director Michael Thalheimer's concept, the production portrays Peer Gynt's remarkable life in highly concentrated form.

Michael Thalheimer is one of Europe's most celebrated directors, known for his riveting stagings of the classics, expressed through powerful images and emotions. He has worked at many eminent European theatres and serves as director in residence at the prestigious Berliner Ensemble in Germany.

The performance is included in the programme of the 2018 International Ibsen Festival, and will be performed with English subtitles.
