Mindfulness has its origins in the ancient Buddhist tradition of meditation. Mindfulness is widely used in the West in modern times to meet today's high demands for performance and the experience of stress, pain and illness. 

Qigong is a training method from China that is several thousand years old. Qi means energy. Gong means practice. There are different types of Qigong; Buddhist, martial art, medical, Daoist and Confucian. Different movements are put together into a sequence, with a focus on breathing and intention. The movements are easy to learn and very powerful if you practice over time. You become stronger, get better balance, increased flexibility and better coordination. You get better concentration, attention and patience. Not least, increased presence, deep relaxation, lower blood pressure, better blood circulation, increased energy levels and a stronger immune system will also improve with the practice of Qigong over time.

When you practice Mindful Qigong, you do it in the same way as when you meditate, that is, with full attention to what is from moment to moment and without trying to achieve anything. You should just be yourself, without evaluating and without judging yourself. You move slowly and consciously. You are aware of sensations in your body, but also of thoughts and feelings that arise. You explore your own limits and respect them. The breath will help you to stand in the movements. You learn to recognize what you need in the moment. 

Mindful Qigong does not require you to have any special equipment. You can practice Mindful Qigong anywhere and anytime. I invite you to a course with carefully selected movements and breathing techniques, but also to be completely present here and now, with your whole self, from moment to moment. This is your form of self-care, preferably for the rest of your life.
