In the spring of 2009, the two Norwegians Joshua French and Tjostolv Moland cross the border with East Congo. A few days later, the news is revealed that their hired driver is found dead. After several nights of escape in the mighty Congolese jungle, they are arrested and sentenced to death.
When Tjostolv Moland is found dead in his cell after four long years in jail, Joshua French is suspected of killing his best friend. In the face of the demolished Joshua French, the film takes us on a journey back to a mystery that has been the subject of all sorts of speculation. Known as the 'Congo case', the fatal events of the Congo's jungle develop into a political and diplomatic infamous symbolism that seems long-term insignificant.
