Morten Viskum - The Emperor's New Clothes

Each year since 2003, the artist Morten Viskum has made a new wax sculpture of himself for his birthday. This year's self-portrait is named The Emperor's New Clothes, and is displayed at the window gallery TM21. The exhibition also includes the triptych painting The Hand that Never Stopped Painting. Viskum is known for using his own body as a starting point for examining the artist's many roles in society. His self-portraits often deal with religious or political topics in a satirical manner.
