The mountain sports festival is organized annually in the mountain sports capital of Sogndal in the heart of mountain and fjord Norway.

With steep mountains, deep valleys, beautiful fjords and snowy winters, Sogndal is the ultimate place to do mountain sports - all year round! The mountain sports festival showcases the village's local natural qualities through exciting and challenging activities, based on knowledge of safe travel in steep winter landscapes. The festival aims to inspire, motivate, educate, entertain, challenge, gather and engage those who have a lot of experience with winter mountain sports, and those who have little or no experience.

The mountain sports festival is the arena for the exchange of experience and knowledge related to the practice of mountain sports in winter, through good communication and social meeting places.
