About the concert
Our Thursday concert is a regular highlight of the Trondheim Chamber Music Festival. This year, both the instrument harp and festival composer Widmann are guests of honor.

Before the break, we will hear Mozart's only work written for harp: the Double Concerto for flute, harp and orchestra. It is performed here "chamber music" without a conductor. After the break, we will hear three exciting and quite different works by Widmann, where he conducts the works himself. Con Brio was written for the conductor Mariss Jansons and is inspired by Beethoven. Danse macabre is one of Widmann's newest works for orchestra.
