Action Now! is Nicolas Leirtrø's brand new quartet consisting of some of Europe's leading improvisers and musicians from different fields and different generations, where the intention is to explore the meeting between composed music, improvisation and visual art.

Behind the project's title there are many different meanings, but the starting point is Leirtrø's need to create something unique on his own terms, where appreciating the slow processes is central. Riff-heavy compositions with high energy and references to spiritual free jazz meet the slow and repetitive process behind linoleum prints, brought to life by an uncompromising band with no boundaries!
