No e D.D.E. Christmas Again! // Olavshallen

DDE's Christmas tradition is as old as the band itself. Originally, the Christmas concert was a combined tour finale and Christmas party in 1992, the first year DDE existed. Back then, the repertoire consisted of borrowed Christmas songs as well as the latest hits from Rai Rai. After a few years, the first version of the Christmas song "Kanskje kjæm Nissen" came out, but it wasn't until 1999 that the band made a whole record with their own Christmas repertoire. The CD ”No e D.D.E. Christmas Again!” consists of 13 newly written DDE Christmas songs which over the years have become a necessary ingredient in the Christmas preparations for many.

In 2008, DDE also had the great honor of being an artist on the "Salvation Army's Christmas album". The release, which was also produced by Erik Hillestad, contained both DDE's interpretations of the classic Christmas carols, and about half the record were newly written DDE songs.

The records form the basis of the family performance "No e DDE Jul Igjen!", and for many it would not be a proper Christmas without "Et ord vart lys", "Englespellet", "Stor og fin gut" and the holiday-themed "Christmas night over vårres by". Christmas is a tradition, and DDE has guests on stage every year. Local children's choirs, star boys and other surprises are pulled out of the bag when the guys invite you to a pleasant and intimate time before Christmas.
