Overview

In the dance drama Hope Road 56 Revisited, Nordic Black Theatre explores the legacy of reggae legend Bob Marley and the stories and community that surrounded him. Hope Road 56 is the address of Bob Marley's residence in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. During the 70s, this was a Rastafari centre where people from different backgrounds could come together. Today, it is merely a tourist attraction. Playwright and director Cliff Moustache visited Kingston in1979. He has to experience Marley up, close and personal: they played soccer together and had several great nights together with long conversations. Moustache has now created a performance based around his encounters with Marley.  Script and direction: Cliff A. Moustache Choreography: Bright Wamwanduka The production is a collaboration between Nordic Black Theatre and The Norwegian Opera & Ballet.
