7 December, Uranienborg Church: Händel's mighty Messiah performed with the BBC singers and excellent soloists
The Norwegian Wind Ensemble performs Händel's Messiah together with BBC singers and their conductor in chief Sofi Jeannin.
The Messiah was famously written in 23 days, but is said to take a lifetime to digest. Händel's musical description of Messiah's arrival on earth has been an integral part of The Norwegian Wind Ensemble's repertoire for years, and has become a much cherished Christmas tradition for both the ensemble and its audience.
Soloists: Berit Solset - soprano, Marianne Beate Kielland - alt, Sam Boden - tenor, Matthew Brook - bass
