"Oda from the sea" is about a young girl growing up on Mausund. She wanted to become a fisherman, but faces a great deal of opposition to this. It is a story about growing up on the coast of Trøndelag in the 60-70s, about the struggle for women from rural Norway, about love and hope, faith and superstition, and to live with the sea as its closest neighbor and most important industry - for better or hurt.
"Oda from the sea" is written by Marte Hallem based on the trilogy "The people of Spåhålet" Vidar Oskarson. Marte has also written music for the play.
