Ola Bremnes
A good mix of fresh and mature material from an inspired Ola Bremnes. The new album is titled "What Makes Green Green" and is a warm tribute to The Created Green, simply put. To the things that drift ashore and can be tossed into life's great cauldron. To the moments we have before all the lights start blinking. The album will be released in the spring of 2024, just as the birch trees get their light green leaf buds. The recording also features the renowned Sámi artist Niko Valkiepää on a couple of tracks. He will also participate in the concerts in Harstad and Tromsø. On stage, three musicians will join Ola: Guitarists Terje Nohr and Tore Bruvoll, along with bassist Gjermund Silset. Exceptional musicians who have collaborated with Ola for many years and who also contributed to recording the new album in green surroundings on Nesodden over a few August days in 2023, as well as a day in an old schoolhouse in Bremnes in Kvæfjorden this January. The concert will also feature several of Ola's earlier songs. The last time Ola toured with Terje and Tore, a concert reviewer wrote: "What a concert. Tonight's ensemble was complete. A golden lineup, if you ask me." There's much to look forward to!
