Halden Canal Museum in Ørje offers a package that includes both a visit to the museum, rental of canoes with entrance through the locks. By visiting the museum you can learn more about the biodiversity of the forest and waterways. This shows the interaction of our ecological environment, the secrets of nature and the rich wildlife presented. The museum also conveys the history and culture of forestry, timber and wood processing and central are of course the channel builder Engebret Soot (1786-1859) and his lifework. when you go by cano in the channelyou will be able to experience nature, boats and locks at close range.

(there are space for up to 3 people in the boat) - Using the lock leading up from Steamboat Wharf to Rødnessjøen, approximately at 12:00. - Using the lock leading down from Rødnessjøen back to he Steamboat Wharf, at approximately 15:00.
