Lorenzo Coppola is one of the world's leading performers of historic clarinet instruments. He is also a terrific conveyer of music history and musical anecdotes.
At this concert, Coppola and his Spanish ensemble Ensemble Dialoghi provide an entertaining and enlightened presentation of Mozart and Beethoven's theatral chamber music, where the musicians tell a story just as multifaceted as Mozart's operas.
Mozart: Quintet for hammerklavier, obo, clarinet, horn and bassoon in E flat major, K. 452 (1784)
Beethoven: Quintet for hammerklavier, obo, clarinet, French horn and bassoon in E flat major, Op. 16 (1797)
Cristina Esclapez - hammerklavier, Josep Domènech - obo, Lorenzo Coppola - clarinet, Pierre-Antoine Tremblay - nature horn, Javier Zafra - bassoon
The concert is part of the early music festival Oslo Early.
