Welcome to the year's first exhibition at Trondhjems Kunstforening, "Other Premises". In this project, four artistic practices meet to explore different ways of collaborating: Line Anda Dalmar, Hilde Frantzen, Kristin Velle-George and Nina Bang Larsen.

Some of the worst one can imagine as an artist is to be copied by others, or to unconsciously create something similar to someone else's work. This group jumps into it. By opening the doors between each other's artistic practice, the artists are forced to work in a different way throughout the process, and with other materials and themes than they are used to. This gives challenges as well as inspiration, an exercise in losing control and getting curious about each others working methods. The nature of cooperation with the switching between the individual and the collective creates excitement and dynamism.

In 2017, the group has organized two meetings where each artist has presented herself and given the others an introduction to their work, methodology and subjects. As a result, each artist has created one artwork representing herself and three other artworks imitating the artistic practice of the other ones.

The exhibition shows 16 main works that are exhibited on both floors of the house. The audience is invited into the fantasy world of Nina Bang Larsen, in Hilde Frantzen's study of the physical feeling people face in the encounter with nature. Furthermore, the spectator will meet Kristin Velle-Georges trivial and ignored objects that are manipulated to the almost unrecognizable, where the transformation itself is the purpose. Line Anda Dalmars reflects on how we experience the landscape and our surroundings, what is saved in our visual memory and what we seek in order to achieve the sense of belonging, attachment and identity.

Nina Bang Larsen (born 1981, Hardanger) lives and works in Bergen and has a MA in Fine Art from University of Bergen. Hilde Frantzen (born 1982, Larvik) lives and works in Oslo. She has a master in Fine Art from University of Bergen. Line Anda Dalmar (f.1983, Stavanger) is based in Trondheim after graduation at Konstfack in Stockholm and University of Bergen. Kristin Velle-George (born 1977, Bergen) lives and works in Stavanger and holds a MA in Fine Art from University of Bergen.
