On September 13, pianist Norvald Dahl will come to Vår Frue - övän kirke:

"With suggestive rhythms and acidic sounds, jazz pianist and Herøyvær Norvald Dahl takes us on a hypnotic and beautiful journey via 88 white and black keys. The music is freely improvised over his own compositions, and lies on the border between jazz, folk tones, pop and modern classicism.

Pianist Norvald Dahl is from Fosnavag and has released his fourth album as a musical director. He completed a Master's degree in jazz piano at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2019 and has previously studied jazz at both the Rogaland Music Conservatory and NTNU-Trondheim. Dahl has been an active freelance musician and educator in recent years, and has also led a number of exciting musical projects of both a national and international nature. He is perhaps best known for his collaboration with the American saxophonist Jon Irabagon and as a pianist in the "Wayne Brasel group", but he has recently toured with the new trio project "Pandemic Solution", together with Håkon Mjåset
Johansen and Ingebrigt Håker Flaten!"
