Since their beginnings in 1988, the british band Paradise Lost has been one of the greatest names within the goth and doom genres. They are often described as the perfect mix between Metallica and Sisters of Mercy, and have inspired many other bands. Their unique mix of piano, heavy guitars and a massive industrial sound has made them a favourite within the genre.
