A monumental evening, with three very strong artists visiting Trondheim for the first time, and not least the return of one of Trondheim's most groundbreaking bands at the top of the bill.

Welcome to a superb day and evening at Byscenen, where there are three floors of quality music, good food and drinks, and an informal bar with DJs in the basement!

Doors open at 4:30 PM, first artist takes the stage at 5:30 PM.

TIAMAT (se)
Legendary Tiamat has made a name for themselves since the 80s, where the band delivered classic albums within metal's most extreme genres, both as Tiamat and its predecessor Treblinka. Then the band's sound expanded, creating a furore with the Doom album "Clouds" before they experimented a few more notches with "Wildhoney" which is
one of the great classics of the 90s in gothic/prog/doom. The band has always thought several notches outside the norm, and time and again delivered very strong albums.
Now they are coming to Trondheim for the very first time!

THE 3RD AND THE MORTAL (no)
In many ways, The 3rd and the Mortal were the forerunner of an entire genre of female-fronted metal bands in the 90s, where a number of the industry's leading bands often cite the Trondheimers as the reason why they became what they were. The band only released two releases with the original line-up with Kari Rueslåtten on vocals, namely
"Tears Laid in Earth" and "Sorrow", before they went their separate ways.
Now the original line-up with Kari is ready for an anniversary where they play the two classic releases, and for the first time in Trondheim since 1994!

THRESHOLD (uk)
Since 1988, British Threshold have held the flag high with their unique form of progressive heavy metal.
Throughout 12 albums, they have delivered classics time and time again, and have a highly respected name in the genre. Now they will put the cupboard in place in Trondheim, when they visit us for the first time.

IOTUNN (fo/dk)
With an exciting and unique sound, Danish/Faroese Iotunn have achieved great success with their two albums "Access All Worlds" and "Kinship" on Metal Blade Records. A sound based on epic and progressive metal, with a magnificent atmosphere and variety, has launched them among the most promising artists of the future. Experience them in Trondheim for the very first time!
