Welcome to our PRAXIS workshops spring 2026 for performing artists, people with movement experience, and everyone interested in movements. All bodies are welcome and most of the explorations and exercises lend themselves to be adapted to different bodies and needs. About the workshop: "Notice & Continue" is a dance practice that I am currently developing. I am very interested in meeting dancers and dance enthusiasts in Trondheim and see how you approach it.

Notice what you are doing and take it further. We use movements, positions, quality of movement, breath and thoughts as material to embrace, develop, emphasize or repeat. Every little thing you notice can be a seed to take further. By noticing and continuing, new aspects of the activity are constantly coming to the forefront of our attention.

“Notice & Continue” has two strands, either a very open, generative task that gets me moving from a base of nothing. Or a more specific form using repetitions. I will try both in the workshop. I also like to start with joy and desire, and to follow our interests. Towards the end of the class, if there is time, I would like to open up for a shared game where we get the chance to interact with the others. Bring comfortable clothes.

Who can join: This workshop can be joined by anyone with an interest in improvising with some specificity and attention to details.

Bio: Karen Eide Bøen (b. 1986) is a dancer and choreographer based in Bergen. Her work revolves around attention and the connections between language and movement. Has shown the performances "Sjøveien" (2022) and "Love & Emotions" (2019) at BIT, and created "Pleasure Doing Business" (2025), "Frank & Elena" (2019) and "To See Yourself From The Outside" (2017) with Hugo Hedberg.

Drop-in price must be paid upon arrival before the class via vipps to #732403 or cash. The sliding scale system allows you to pay according to your financial situation. The recommended price per session is NOK 150 and NOK 300 for the full workshop. By paying more you make it possible for others to pay less.
