Restoration + support
Friday 20 September - Restoration + support.
Doors open at 20:00 - concert starts at 21:00.
On 10 May, the Bergen band Gjenferd released their self-titled debut album on Apollon Records.
The band draws inspiration from heavy rock's childhood when hammond organs and walls of guitar amplifiers dominated the stages. Long evenings of noise, obscure 70s records and rigging of way too heavy Fender Rhodes have resulted in an album that is a sonic explosion of tenacious and hard-hitting riffs, electric noise and idiotically catchy vocal harmonies.
The album's first single "Starless" received a roll of 5 in Dagsavisen and Bergens Tidende. "It's untamed and wild, leaps over most subgenres in one and yet there is a craving in this song that makes you hypnotically press the repeat button." - Mode Steinkjer (Dagsavisen).
Gjenferd consists of members from, among others, Kryptograf, Edvard Borneo, Metusalem, and former bass player in SKAAR.
FFO: Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Motorpsycho, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Pentagram, Uriah Heep.
