Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle

Follo Chamber Choir and the Oslo-based chamber choir KORiOSLO perform Rossini's beautiful "Petite messe solennelle" in Sofienberg Church, accompanied by professional musicians and song soloists. The work was Rossini's last, and stirred up a lot of attention when it premiered in 1864.

The concert programme also includes Verdi's "Quattro Pezzi Sacri", a work composed as free-standing elements in the period 1889 to 1897, which were first performed together in 1898. The pieces offer fantastic timbres, and you'll recognise Verdi the opera composer in the music.

Conductor: Tom Wiklund
