Sail & Climb - from Bergen to Via Ferrata Loen | Statsraad Lehmkuhl

Sail & climb - from Bergen to Via Ferrata in Loen!

Join us on a unique nature experience with sailing, fjords and climbing in the mountains on the Via Ferrata in Loen! You board in Bergen and do not need any knowledge of sailing. Our skilled crew gives you continuous training along the way, and you can go sailing, enter the rig (optional), have the fireman's watch, stand look-out and enjoy both sea and fjord.

We then anchor up at Loen and you are ready for the phenomenally beautiful "Via Ferrata" climb from fjord to mountain. The day ends with a meal and a good drink on the Statsraad Lehmkuhl. The following day we return to Bergen. This will be magical!

About the climb: The trip goes along an organized climbing trail where you are completely secured in a wire. The hike goes on forests and paths to 440 moh, then via ferrata (iron road) and over Gjølmunnebrua suspension bridge, further up to the top of Mt. Hoven at 1011 moh. Return either by Loen Skylift (cable car) or on the gravel road to Oppheim at 280 meters above sea level

There are also possibilities for self guided trips if desired. For more information: loenactive.no
