After a magical concert at Landmark during Vill Vill Vest 2023, Sanyu returns with her upcoming album What Do We Envision. We’re thrilled to welcome this exceptional artist back to our stage!

The Oslo-based singer and producer Sanyu has in recent years performed at festivals such as Øya, Trondheim Calling, Vill Vill Vest, and several jazz festivals. Her debut EP Now You Hear It was described by Beehype as “a testament to true artistry and dedication to the craft.” The EP offers just a glimpse of what to expect from her live performances.

With roots in R&B and improvisation, her music carries a soulful expression rich in warm harmonies, while also playing with rap and groove-based riffs. Her strong and exploratory spirit, combined with tactile spoken word and pulsating jazz, charges listeners with energy — with lyrics at the very heart of her performance.
