As a collaboration between our folk dance program Dansespor and our EU project Dance ICH, we invite you to a free seminar and course at Rockheim on May 9-10, 2025.

This weekend will focus on dance hosting and recruitment. How do you create the right spaces for dance participation and what does a good dance host do before, during and after the dance? How do you retain those who try out crash courses and clubs? Are you wondering how you can create more folk dance and swing activity in your local community? Do you have a good idea for an activity, but are unsure of how to reach out and get more people involved? Welcome to an inspirational weekend with a seminar and dance workshop, where the goal of the gathering is to equip you as participants with a toolbox full of knowledge, inspiration and communication methods that can be adapted to needs and target groups, to create more dance activity locally.

The seminar and courses are suitable for those of you who are involved in the dissemination of folk dance, swing and the music that goes with it (both organized, voluntary or, for example, in school or kindergarten), and those of you who are involved in dance and music in other ways, and want to create more dance activity in your local community. The gathering provides a great opportunity to build networks and exchange ideas with others who are passionate about the same thing. We are planning social activities so that all participants can get to know each other better and have a good time at the gathering, including a dance party on Saturday evening.

- Friday, May 9:

- Saturday, May 10:
⏰ 9:00 AM: registration and coffee
⏰ 9:30 AM: seminar/course
⏰ 12:00 PM: lunch
⏰ 1:00 PM: seminar/course
⏰ 16.00: thanks for now!

- Saturday evening:
⏰ at 19.30: crash course and dance party at Rockheim - open to everyone!
