Senior Taijiquan (Tai Chi) - Beginner

Welcome to a 10-week course in the Chinese form of exercise Taijiquan starting on Tuesday, September 9 at 12:00.
This form of exercise has positive effects on the body both physically and mentally by strengthening the body's muscles, improving balance and calming the mind. Recent research shows that by practicing Taiji, you can prevent falls in the elderly, which is one of the biggest health challenges for the elderly today. The positive thing is that it is never too late to improve balance, it is possible to train it. So if you already have poor balance, it can only get better. Throughout these 10 weeks, we will move slowly and focus on balance, breathing and presence. One of our students, Tore, said this so beautifully in the article about Taiji and the elderly that was published in Vårt land: "I notice that I have better balance. At the same time, I have become more listening, observant of others and the world around me"

All our courses can be completed by people of all ages. On the senior course we go a little slower, and have an extra tea break in the middle of the training. For many it is also a social arena, in addition to good training for balance, coordination, and inner peace of mind.
