Signs Of Life has been a band since 2002 in Sioux Falls, SD. Through various configurations over the years, there have always been at least two Norwegians involved, as well as an American rhythm section. Harmony-driven rock has also been central, where both grunge, Americana and blues have been central. It is rock with 'meaning', with elements from the American sun-scorched prairie and the rainy Norwegian fjords. Signs Of Life has played to many packed brown bars in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area over the years, and has built up a solid core of fans.

When a band member decided to move back home to Norway, it became clear that the band (now a quartet) had to document the 23-year journey with an album, called 'Mortality'. It has become a concept album that delves into lived lives, full of personal experiences of grief, loss, pain, depression, but also of hope and survival. There were 14 originals and 1 cover of 'Hagelangs'. The album starts with a dream and ends with waking up from one. And now that a member is in Norway, the opportunity opens up for a 'World Tour' with stops in Trondheim and Oslo.
