Sirkus Requiem
A Circus Requiem is a powerful encounter between classical music and contemporary circus. In collaboration with the Oslo Philharmonic, we present a staged version of Giuseppe Verdi's majestic Messa da Requiem.
This is Verdi's musical setting of the Catholic Mass for the Dead, the Requiem. It is a grand and magnificent work, with the Oslo Philharmonic providing the orchestra, choir, and soloists. The performance will be an audiovisual experience, offering a poetic interpretation that combines musical drama with contemporary circus and aerial acrobatics.
The performance lasts approximately 90 minutes without intermission. It is sung in Latin and will not include subtitles during the performance.
