In winter she went to Thomas Dybdahl, now the talented Siv Jakobsen comes back to us. This time she is the headliner with a smoking fresh album.
Siv Jacobsen says with the music what she does not dare to say out loud - and now there is finally the debut "The Nordic Mellow". With references to Ane Brun and Laura Marling, she invites us to fly on the wall in her most personal moments. The eping "The Lingering" from 2015 has won praise from home and abroad, including from Paste and Clash Magazine, as well as VG and Gaffa as both trumpet fives on the dice.
The singles "Like I Used To", "Shallow Digger" and "Berry & Whythe" have received very good reception, BBC6, XFM and NRK P3 radio time, and over ten million plays on Spotify. The debut "The Nordic Mellow" is recorded with producer Matt Ingram (Laura Marling, Florence + the Machine). Jakobsen has regularly been touring in Europe and Asia, including artists such as Damien Jurado and Bear's.
"The most impressive thing about Jakobsen is the ability to create an intimate atmosphere with relatively few instruments that make the album a man want to listen to several times."
