Sometimes it's hard to understand why things are the way they are.
It's fate, you might say? Yes, maybe.
Skjæbnen is a live band that draws inspiration from folk songs, traditional music and performing arts. Curious about the ugly sides of people, we dig up uncut gems from the darkest corners of folklore. Skjæbnen brings the parts of our cultural heritage that we would rather leave in the drawer to the light and onto the dance floor.
With this, we send the audience on a journey: From the saddest to the funniest, from the most sincere and serious, to the cruelly banal. Our goal is to hit the heart of most people. The audience should be moved, and they should be moved.
Skjæbnen consists of Ragnhild Risnes (vocals and guitar), Mona Krogstad (saxophone), Åsmund Smidt (percussion) and Tarald Kongshaug (bass)
