The Slovenian conductor Martina Batič, who in recent years has been conductor of the radio choir in France, collaborated with the Soloist Choir for the first time in 2019. Now they meet for a concert in the magnificent Marble Hall at Sentralen in Oslo!
The program includes music written for outstanding poetry and literature by much-loved composers from Russia, Poland and Martina's homeland, Slovenia. Two main works this evening are composer Sofia Gubaidulina's tribute to the Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva and Dmitry Shostakovich's Ten Poems on Text by Revolutionay poets. As the title suggests, Shostakovich has written music for poetic poems about revolution and fight from the 19th and 20th centuries.
