Overview

Cavatina:
Olli Mustonen - Sekstet for strykekvartett, bratsj og kontrabass
Ludvig van Beethoven - Strykekvartett nr.13 i B-Dur Op.130
Medvirkende:  Engegårdkvartetten, Opus13 strykekvartett, Juliet Jopling, Kenneth Ryland

The Engegård Quartet hosts a three day exploration of Olli Mustonen's music and his major influences: Bach, Beethoven and Shtostakovich.

Olli Mustonen's international reputation as a pianist has been established for decades, and his unique voice as a composer reflects both his power as a communicator and his phenomenal musicianship. We have been tremendously inspired by the experience of working with him both as a composer and as a performer, and we can't wait to share his music and musicianship with our audience in Oslo.

The Festival Programme includes chamber music concerts, café events, a children's concert, a Nordic festive dinner and a collaboration with the Norwegian Academy of Music. All in the space of a long weekend! In Beethoven's 250th anniversary year, we are delighted to include two late string quartets, both of which have inspired works by Mustonen, featured in the same programme.

The organizers state that they are taking the necessary infection measures regarding COVID-19.
